Chess

I feel like a pawn in some bigger chess game.

To be a pawn seems so insignificant, so irrevelent, so inconsequential, so utterly unimportant.

But although I do not know the plan, He does.

My path may not be glamourous, I may not be the piece to take the black king, but He can use me in other ways. Because I will move when He calls, and not sit painted in the right color, but dead and lifeless any longer. I have been repainted. And I'm His pawn, and pawns can't move backwards.

  1. I really like this one! :) To be a pawn in a chess game with the winner already the victor and we just get to run to the kings side to join the celebration, sure there is a piece from the other side trying to convince us the battle has yet to be decided but as even a pawn we can face a king, castle or knight and easily take the victory, because after all the master who moves the pieces decides which pieces he needs where. Sure we may be pawns but or importance is in the skill of the Father, and I love how you put it. We can't move backwards, and really who would want to. :) Great Job I liked this one! :)
